Payroll Process

Payroll operates on a monthly schedule and payday the 4th working day of the month, as per our shared annual payment schedule. At the beginning of each month, we receive from each company the timesheet that confirms the total working hours of the previous month for all employees as well as any overtime hours including night shifts, worked Sundays and/or bonuses.

According to the Greek labor legislation the legal working hours are eight (8) per day for full time employment and employees receive 14 salaries per calendar year.

The additional two salaries are:

  • The Christmas Bonus which is payable at the end of the year, may be equivalent to 1 month salary and it is received as proportion of working days during the period from 01/05 till 31/12.
  • The Easter Bonus may be up to an extra half salary, as a proportion of working days between the period of 01/01 till 30/04 and is payable around Easter.
  • The Summer Allowance can be an extra half salary usually paid in July, according to the working period.

Your gross salary includes insurance and tax deductions according to the current Greek labor legislation which comprises your total annual income. In case you need any clarification regarding your salary insurance and tax deductions, you may contact us at support@forpeople.gr.
